Standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall (commanding 6+ feet in heels), our Founder, Matice, understands the nuances that affect tall women in fashion.  Growing up, she was taller than her school-age peers, and wore store-bought jeans that never quite reached past her ankles.  She also had a stutter, so one can imagine the awkwardness that youth brought.

     In 2003, at just 14 years old she started designing the clothing of her dreams. Fashion was her form of expression when talking was hindered by disfluency.  She desired tops with a sleeve that passed her wrist, dresses that swept the floor, and bold style solutions that spoke for her.

     Twenty-plus years later, after building the social brand StutterBae that focused on educating and encouraging others who stutter, her design dreams and desires became reality with the creation of her namesake womenswear brand, Matice Ahnjamine.
